24 years spent involved in the RNLI Lifeboat and his cliff rescue service locally has instilled a very high safety ethos… AKA he's a safety freak!!!

Paul has received bravery awards from the RNLI , with whom he is a senior helmsman, he is also currently the Education / Visiting officer and PRO for the Tramore Station.

"I started surfing in 1980 in Tramore and my 1st board was a 9ft Black Bilbo, 'Beelzebub' as it was known, because its awkward heavy weight made it nearly impossible to carry!"

Surf Qualifications:

• Surf School Operations Manager and 'Head Honcho'!
• Teaching surfing for 11 years
• Level 1 & 2 Senior Instructor (to cater to the improving surfer)
• Qualified Beach Lifeguard.
• Code of Ethics and Good Practice for Children in Sport, Irish Sports Council.
