Who We Are
The husband and wife team, Paul and Linda Tuohy are the proud owners of Oceanics Surf School. Both involved in very "hands on" way due to their vast experience in surfing, tourism, RNLI life boat, cliff rescue, lifesaving and first aid. Because of these attitudes, Paul and Linda offer at Oceanics a very safe, fun and enjoyable visit.
With over 64 years of Tourism experience between them, Paul and Linda through Oceanics offer, besides the individual lessons, Surf Camps and Hire Packs, numerous Fun and Educational programmes which have been specifically designed with individuals or groups in mind. Since Oceanic's fruition as a Surf School in 1997, Environmental Awareness programmes and Team Challenges have been developed to compliment the Surf School identity and are now major group activities within the school.
Paul Tuohy
Paul is the Surf School Operations Manager. He has been surfing for 37 years and has been teaching surfing for the past 20 years. In this time he has become a level 2 instructor (to cater to the improving surfer) has qualified as a beach lifeguard and qualified as an assistant swim instructor. His many years (36) spent involved in lifeboat and his cliff rescue service locally have instilled a very high safety ethos which it carried throughout the school. Paul Tuohy Paul has received bravery awards from the RNLI , with whom he is a senior helmsman, he is also currently the Education / Visiting officer and PRO for the Tramore Station. Paul facilitates for Science Foundation Ireland, delivering CPD Workshops for Discover Primary Science and Maths. Since 2016, he has been involved with the Marine Institue delivering their Explorers Programme to schools in the South East region.
Linda Tuohy
Linda is the Administrator and has been surfing and bodyboarding for the last 31 years. Like Paul, she has spent years involved with the lifeboat and cliff rescue services, while working in some of the bigger tourism companies including South East Tourism as a Tourist Advisor and the marketing department in Celtworld in Tramore. Linda will organise your surf lesson, group or outing with careful attention to detail.
With their long number of years in the tourism trade and their attention to customer service Paul and Linda with their team of highly trained and qualified staff will ensure your surfing experience is both enjoyable an memorable.
