Surfing Programmes

These programmes are designed to allow you to progress and develop surfing skills from beginner level through to the stage of being ready to purchase your own equipment and launch yourself into the growing world of surfing!! Silver, Gold & Platinum module (see below for details). Programmes are for Adults only aimed at the evening time Social / After work persons. Great for the friends or work colleagues that want to "Chillax" after work. Minimum numbers of 6 persons required to book these lessons.

Times:

All modules can be completed individually over a 4 week period with 2 ½ hours lessons. You choose times and dates that suits you.

 

Available Modules:

Silver:

Suggested for the pure beginner. The course consists of 4 lessons and the course content is made up of surfing and personal safety with assessment.

Gold:

Suggested for the improving surfer. The course consists of 4 lessons and the course content is made up of surfing and fitness with wave forecasting.

Platinum:

Suggested for the more developed surfer. The course consists of 4 lessons and the course content is made up of surfing techniques, etiquette and protocol with assessment.

 

Qualifications, Safety & How to Book

All our Surfing Instructors are qualified by the relevant governing bodies and hold Beach Lifeguard qualifications.We operate a ratio of 8 students to 1 instructor but where children's surfing lessons are concerned we have a tendency to add extra helpers to the surf lesson (trainee surfing instructors, Oceanics future instructors!) accompanying senior surfing instructors into the water.Children are supervised both in and out of the water at all times.

All surfing lessons are held in waist depth water so you do not have to be a very strong swimmer.We will work with you at whatever depth you wish to start off at, sometimes with groups it can be getting you used to floating in a wetsuit before you decide to start riding waves.Those that are nervous, have no fear, we will give you all the confidence and help you need to have a good time.

All our Surfing Instructors pride themselves on being people friendly and have endless patience when teaching people about the moving wave and how to feel comfortable and confident when riding it.To book simply just email or call us requesting which dates you wish to book.For surfing lessons or camps a contact phone number is all that's required.

Checking in and payment is done 10 minutes before surfing lesson / camp times.You will be required to fill in a registration form which you can request to be sent to you in advance if you so wish.

For Groups pre-payment is necessary with a deposit required to secure your date.

For large groups a booking form will be sent and will need to be returned with deposit to secure dates.

Payment can be made by cash or cheque made out to Oceanics Surf School.
